NO! As a matter of fact, part of the definition of dyslexia is that a person has either normal or HIGHER than normal intelligence!
Consider some of these famous dyslexics and/or at-risk readers:
ACTORS AND PRODUCERS SINGERS WRITERS ARTISTS AND INVENTORS
| BUSINESSMEN AND POLITICIANS Nelson Rockefeller – financial magnate AND DON’T FORGET Albert Einstein- Scientist

Is there a link between dyslexia and creativity? The same characteristic that causes dyslexics to process language differently can be a blessing as well as a burden. Unlike the "average" reader, dyslexics process reading mainly through the right side of the brain. This can make reading a challenge, but it is important to remember that the right side of the brain is also the creative, visual, imaginative side of the brain.
There are too many famous dyslexics to list them all, but this introduction should serve as a reminder that dyslexia does not have to limit what someone chooses to do or be in life.
