Turning Stumbling Blocks into Stepping Stones for Those With Reading Issues
Dyslexia Testing San Antonio- D.A.S.A. is your source for dyslexia testing, tutoring, and training-
We understand the challenges of being a struggling reader... and of being the parent or teacher of a struggling reader.
Research reveals that 10% of the population may exhibit characteristics of dyslexia, yet only five out of every one hundred dyslexics will be properly identified and assisted. Dyslexia Associates of San Antonio, (D.A.S.A.) exists to change that.
D.A.S.A. offers reasonably priced dyslexia assessments.
These assessments are administered at our home offices or in the prvacy of your home. This allows our Master Reading Teacher or Educational Diagnostician to provide quality assessment at a fraction of the price others may charge. We offer comprehensive testing and reporting, including recommendations for individual accommodations for work or school . Our reading assessment fees, which are reasonably priced and professionally prepared, meet the requirements for legal 504 accommodations requests for school, state certification testing, or work. We are here to help, not to exploit. Feel free to wrire us for references from former clients or to receive more information.
Although the majority of dyslexia assessments are performed for school-age students, D.A.S.A. is now able to qualify or re-qualify college-age students and even evaluate adults as well. If you are entering college, simply provide us with the name of the student disability services contact at your college so that we can confer with him or her before performing your assessment. We can and will tailor your assessments to their specific policies and your specific needs.
If at any time the ability to learn itself is in question, we now have cognitive testing available through our state-licensed diagnostician. Likewise, if the client is Spanish language dominant, our state certified Master Reading Teacher is ESL certified as well.
D.A.S.A. also provides workshops and consultation for those involved with the struggling reader: Understanding and Identifying Dyslexia, Individual Accommodations, Multi-Sensory Techniques, The 504 Process, Literacy Through Advanced Alphabet Phonics, Vocabulary Development , and Best Bet Spelling are a few of the available topics.
Does your public school, charter school, college or home school association need training? Call for more information or write firstname.lastname@example.org
D.A.S. A. provides tutoring and reading interventions. From children who need help learning to read or spell to those preparing for STAAR or SAT tests, intervention sessions are intensive, individually tailored and individually administered. We have academic language therapists and/or Master Reading and Dyslexia Interventionists available in the San Antonio as well as the Tri-City outlying area. (Note: due to the nature of individual assistance, there may be a waiting list for some services.)
If you are a Texas-certified teacher with training in dyslexia, we can keep your information in our data base for future referrals. If you need a tutor, and a DASA associate is unavailable we will do our best to refer you to another qualified individual at no cost to you or them. This is just one of the many services we offer.
We can even teach you how to teach your child.
Again, call to ask for references from our current or former clients, private schools, or public schools. You will be pleasantly surprised.
